From his big break with The James Gang to his tenure in the Eagles, Walsh has consistently laid down blisteringly sweet riffs, while simultaneously making the greatest "guitar face" this side of Dickey Betts. A true iconoclast, Joe pretty much does whatever he wants, resulting in trashed hotels as well as classic rock staples like “Funk #49," “Rocky Mountain Way" and “Life's Been Good." And he rocks a talk-box like no other.
Walsh was asked to join the Eagles while they were recording their epic Hotel California, and if his lead guitar work on the title song doesn't move ya with its hoodoo, perhaps you shouldn't be listening to rock music. With the implosion of that band Joe continued to release solo albums, and play with the likes of Ringo's All-Starr Band. In 1994 he joined the reunited Eagles for their seemingly eternal Hell Freezes Over tour, playing better than ever.
