New York-based singer and rhythm guitarist Edsel Dope and his keyboard playing brother Simon gave up promising careers in the field of science to form the band Dope and rock the world. Though the band sheds members like a snake sheds its skin, the brothers Dope remain the one constant. Edsel's grinding rhythm guitar can be heard all over Dope's four LPs Felons and Revolutionaries, Life, Group Therapy, and American Apathy.
Edsel rocks Crate amps because he likes the taught rhythm sound, and that he can effortlessly switch to a searing lead tone with a mere flick of the footswitch. His Crate amps perform flawlessly, no matter where he plays, and he can always rely on the sound being there for him night after night. Edsel and his brother continue to peddle Dope from city to city, all across this great big world.
